It is not all that usable because it is so slow but just the fact that it works is amazing. It is running off a x86 emulator and that is why performance is so bad. I am sure we will see other operating systems running soon also.
Dashboard for the iPad was rejected by Apple, but was made open source. This means if you have a developer account you can load it up on your iPad to play with! You can download the source code here and start playing with it. It seems a little slow but works amazing well. You can even download new widgets right in the app. I am sure Apple did not approve this because they want to steal the idea and bring it into an update later down the road. If you would like to test this out along with the iPhone OS 4.0, LEI Mobile is offering spots on their dev team for a small donation! Check it out here.
The genius marketing of BlendTec’s Tom Dickinson is back at it again. He is famous for destroying new devices like the iPhone in a blender to prove how powerful their blender really is. For some these videos may be hard to watch, for others it may encourage you to buy their product, and for others it may just be fun to watch!
It looks like the famous iPhone Dev Team member MuscleNerd has already jailbroken the iPad in under 24 hours. As soon as it is ready for public release they will release it. Do not ask where you can get it. You can follow MuscleNerd’s progress on Twitter.
