Well it’s official! The iPhone/iPad OS 4.0 keynote will be on April 8th!
Now, this is going to be a massive event and we will be bringing coverage and all of the announcements as it happens.
Now, this is in 3 days. On Thursday at 10am Pacific (12pm Central)
Now, I expect there to be support for changing your homescreen’s backround, multi-tasking, possibly a landscape homescreen, and an “iAd” support.
iAd is a rumored new thing that Apple is rumored to be revealing on April 8th, its a brand new platform for advertising in the mobile space.
So all we can do now is wait for Thursdah for the keynote.
I’ll see you there!
Well well, Apple is busy. It seems as though an “iPr0d2,1″ has been found! Now, as you recall, it was discovered that the mythical “iPr0d” was the iPad that was launched today. Well, there are references to a 2nd generation iPad! This looks like a major revision judging by model number of 2,1. If it weren’t a major revision, it would be “iPr0d1,2″ just like with the iPhone 3G or with the iPod touch 2G (MC version).
Not only that, but there are also references to 3 new iPhones and an iPod4,1! Today has really been, ummm, something, to say the least. So there you go!
(Thanks BGR for the image!)
Good afternoon everybody. Well, this morning, at 12:01am, I, Alan Vazquez, returned here to LimitedEditioniPhone.com, LEIMobile.com, and HackMyPad.com after a very nice 1 month off.
Now, I took the month off for many reasons, but the main ones being that I wanted to spend some more time with my family and those who I love/care about most. I also had a small procedure done, but that’s a story for another day. Granted, I loved every minute of it as I had not taken a day off since early 2008 but, it’s time to come back and do some great things.
Now, while I was gone, there hasn’t been many posts, that is due to a few factors. The first and foremost was that Apple news is traditionally very very slow this time of the year. From October-> March/April, there is usually not much to report. Also, Michael took 2 weeks off and Brandon was left here alone.
Now, we didn’t cease working all together. We have all not only been working on relaxing, but, we have really got some great things in the works that both happened during my departure, and starting today. Just because 1 or 2 people are gone, doesn’t mean that this all goes to a screeching hault.
Now, I can’t talk much about what we are actively working on, but I assure you, you will love it.
Now, onto some stuff that happened and were announced/launched during my absence. Michael announced LEIMobile.com. Now, Mike and I had been talking about LEIMobile.com for a good year now. The domain was purchased in 2009, but, we really didn’t have a plan for it, we just knew that we wanted/needed it.
Well, the main issue was to transition to the new website. We had to come up with a way to smoothly transition you guys to the new site. That was my main concern. Now, a lot of ideas were thrown around, and, we did have a lot of discussions as to the fate of LimitedEditioniPhone.com and LEIMobile.com, but in the end, we figured it out.
So, from this day forward, all new posts will be on LEIMobile.com, however, LimitedEditioniPhone.com isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. There is a ton of very useful articles and data on that site, and I proposed a fusion version of LEI Mobile (app) that contains LEIMobile.com’s new news, and LimitedEditioniPhone.com will be a place for old reviews, tutorials, etc.
Now, that is the route that we are going to go. We will finally cut the chord when we feel comfortable not needing the archives any more. We will shut it down when we feel that no one will every need any of the tutorials or FAQ again. But, that’s still a whiles away.
Now, onto the iTunes App Store. As you all know, SocialMe has been on the iTunes App Store for a while now, about a month. Now, it has a 3.5/5 star review and has garnered a lot of downloads. We are very happy about how that is going.
Now, we have a lot of plans for the future of SocialMe, and those will be revealed at a later date.
Now, some more big iTunes news, LEI Mobile. Mike announced that LEI Mobile had finally been approved for download in the App Store! We have been trying for over a month to get LEI Mobile onto the App Store, but we had to make a lot of revisions to it before it was finally accepted.
Not only is LEI Mobile on the App Store as it’s old former self, but we finally finished arming LEIMobile.com servers with the capability to have APNS (Apple Push Notification System) working! We have been wanting Push Notifications to be in LEI Mobile sincethe very beginning. This would never have been possible, if it weren’t for Giovani and the entire iSpazio team. Thank you all very much.
LEI Mobile now has a 5/5 rating on the iTunes App Store, and Cydia sales post us into the 50,000+ download mark, so we are very happy about that. iTunes numbers are not in yet, but we are expecting big numbers.
So, that’s what’s happened while I was gone. My input on everything as well.
Now, as you all know, the iPad’s launch is on Saturday, April 3, 2010 @9am, so we will be covering the madness that is an Apple product launch.
So not only am I getting back into the groove, but you are all going to as well, as a bunch of Apple news is headed your way as the Apple season 2010 kicks off!
Thank you all for sticking with us with your continuous support, and I would just like to say, “Glad to be back”
Thank You!
